A Simple, Transparent Path to Getting Started
I believe therapy should feel approachable — from your very first visit to every step along the way. Below you’ll find clear information about my session fees, insurance options, and policies. If you have any questions, we’ll go over them together during your free consultation.
I am currently in-network with several insurance plans and continue expanding coverage.
Currently In-Network
• United Healthcare / Optum
• Medicare
• Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan (Traditional & PPO)
Credentialing in Progress
• Priority Health
• Aetna
• Tricare East
Employee Assistance Programs (EAP)
I also accept referrals through several Employee Assistance Programs.
Out-of-Network Benefits
If I am not in-network with your insurance plan, I can provide a Superbill (a detailed receipt) that you may submit to your insurance company for potential reimbursement through your out-of-network benefits.
Helpful questions to ask your insurance provider regarding Out-of-Network coverage:
• Do I have out-of-network mental health benefits?
• What is my deductible, and has it been met?
• What percentage of the fee is reimbursed?
• How do I submit a Superbill for reimbursement?
Private pay is often the simplest and most private option for therapy, with no insurance reporting requirements. For clients who are not using insurance or prefer to pay directly for maximum privacy:
• Individual Therapy Session (45-50 minutes): $150
• Initial Intake / Assessment (first appointment): $200
• Free 20-Minute Consultation: No cost — this is our chance to meet, talk through your needs, and decide together if therapy feels like a good fit.
Reduced Fee Option (Open Path)
I am a proud member of the Open Path Psychotherapy Collective, a non-profit network dedicated to providing affordable care. I reserve a limited number of appointment slots for Open Path members at reduced rates. If you are a member of Open Path (or interested in joining), please let me know during our consultation so we can discuss availability.
To keep our focus on clinical work, billing is handled through a secure client portal. A valid credit, debit, or HSA/FSA card is required to be on file before your first appointment.
• Payment for your responsibility (copay, deductible, or full fee) is processed automatically at the time of your session.
• All payment information is stored securely in my HIPAA-compliant client portal.
Your session time is reserved specifically for you. If you need to cancel or reschedule, please give at least 48 hours’ notice.
• Important Note: Insurance companies and EAPs do not pay for missed appointments. Therefore, appointments canceled with less than 48 hours’ notice (or missed without notice) will be billed to your card on file at the full private pay rate.
The best way to get started is with a free 20-minute consultation.
We’ll briefly talk about what you’re hoping to work on, answer any questions about insurance or fees, and see if working together feels like a good fit.
No pressure — just a conversation to help you decide your next step.
