A Simple, Transparent Path to Getting Started
I believe therapy should feel approachable — from your very first visit to every step along the way. Below you’ll find clear information about my session fees, insurance options, and policies. If you have any questions, we’ll go over them together during your free consultation.
I am currently expanding my practice to accept health insurance.
• Current In-Network Plans: I actively accept referrals through Corporate Counseling Associates (CCA) for their Employee Assistance Program (EAP).
• In-Process: I am currently credentialing with major insurance providers (including Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan, Medicare, and Priority Health) for 2026.
• Out-of-Network: If I am not yet in-network with your plan, I can provide a Superbill (a detailed medical receipt) that you can submit to your insurance company for potential reimbursement using your "Out-of-Network" benefits.
Helpful questions to ask your insurance provider regarding Out-of-Network coverage:
• Do I have out-of-network mental health benefits?
• What is my deductible, and has it been met?
• What percentage of the fee is reimbursed for CPT code 90834 (45 minutes) or 90837 (53+ minutes)?
• How do I submit a Superbill for reimbursement?
For clients who are not using insurance or prefer to pay directly for maximum privacy:
• Individual Therapy Session (45-50 minutes): $150
• Initial Intake / Assessment (first appointment): $200
• Free 20-Minute Consultation: No cost — this is our chance to meet, talk through your needs, and decide together if therapy feels like a good fit.
Reduced Fee Options (Open Path)
I am a proud member of the Open Path Psychotherapy Collective, a non-profit network dedicated to providing affordable care. I set aside a specific number of appointments for Open Path members at significantly reduced rates. If you are a member of Open Path (or interested in joining), please let me know during our consultation so we can discuss availability.
To keep our focus on clinical work, I utilize a secure, "frictionless" billing system. A valid credit, debit, or HSA/FSA card is required to be on file prior to your first session.
• Payment for your responsibility (copay, deductible, or full fee) is processed automatically at the time of your session.
• All payment information is stored securely in my HIPAA-compliant client portal.
Your session time is reserved strictly for you. If you need to cancel or reschedule, please give at least 48 hours’ notice.
• Important Note: Insurance companies and EAPs do not pay for missed appointments. Therefore, appointments canceled with less than 48 hours’ notice (or missed without notice) will be billed to your card on file at the full private pay rate.
