Rowan Kelley & Luminous Minds

Hi, I’m Rowan. I know that life can sometimes feel overwhelming — weighed down by stress, anxiety, depression, or the lasting impact of trauma. In these seasons, it’s easy to feel stuck, uncertain, or even disconnected from yourself.

My role as a therapist is to walk beside you with compassion, curiosity, and practical strategies. Clients often tell me they feel truly heard and validated in our sessions — and that the skills they take away actually help in their day-to-day lives. My goal is always the same: to create a safe, encouraging space where you can experiment, practice, and find new ways forward.

Who I Help

I work with adults who are navigating:

● The lasting impact of trauma, stress, or loss
● Anxiety, worry, or overwhelm that feels hard to manage
● Feelings of depression, self-doubt, or disconnection
● Life transitions and identity questions, where things feel uncertain

The people I work with often tell me they’ve already carried a lot on their own — finding ways to push through, adapt, or figure things out even in hard circumstances. By the time they reach out, they’re ready for the relief of a space where they don’t have to carry everything alone, and where real change feels possible.

My Approach

Therapy with me is warm, direct, and collaborative. I see our sessions as both a confidential space and a kind of laboratory where you can explore challenges, experiment with new skills, and build confidence to take what works into the real world.

I draw from several evidence-based approaches, including:

● Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT): to understand the connection between thoughts, feelings, and actions.
● Eye Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing (EMDR): to help process trauma and reduce its ongoing impact.
● Motivational Interviewing (MI): to explore ambivalence and strengthen your motivation for change.
● Mindfulness & grounding practices: to help you find calm, clarity, and balance.
● Psychoeducation: to give you practical tools and knowledge you can use beyond our sessions.

Clients often describe therapy with me as both supportive and empowering: you’ll feel accepted where you are, while also gently challenged to grow.

Why I Do This Work

For me, therapy is about more than skills or strategies — it’s about honoring the human capacity to grow and transform, even in the face of difficulty.

What drew me to this work was a deep curiosity about people’s inner lives, combined with my own meaningful experiences of being supported and challenged in ways that sparked growth. Over time, I realized that what fulfills me most is walking alongside others and witnessing them reclaim hope, strength, and direction in their lives.

Every client’s story feels like a chance to witness something extraordinary: the moment they recognize they can move forward, that their story is still unfolding, and that they have the power to shape it. That’s why I do this work — to create the conditions for those moments of light to emerge.
